About the artist
I was born on a remote farm in Africa where we came to love all things of nature and spent endless hours drawing them – mostly hens and horses and goats but we expanded our scope with age.
We moved to Scotland about 25 years ago, learned an entirely new palette and I combined my art work, supported by a range of courses, with my work as a priest in country parishes.
I use my art to produce a range of household objects as well as prints and paintings and cards.
I am now officially retired in Dunoon, on the sea front, am a member of Cowal Open Studios, love teaching people the beginnings of painting in the media that suit them, and paint all that I see around me from tiny shells and lichen crusted bark and birds to garden flowers and big landscapes and seascapes in all media
I have a self catering flat overlooking the sea, attached to my house, which I offer to let for holidays through Air Bnb, or art or spiritual retreats where I am happy to offer help and guidance if needed.
I regularly participate in the Cowal Open Studios event at the end of September each year, and exhibit at the Dunoon Burgh Hall and local exhibitions.
